What is Pajamastan?
Welcome to the calmest corner of the Mohave.
Pajamastan is a small desert camp built for one purpose: slowing down. No dress code beyond what you slept in, no schedule beyond sunrise and sunset, and no rush to be anywhere but exactly where you are. It sits quiet, dusty, and wide open under the sky, a few miles from anywhere that matters.
National Facts at a Glance
The Flag
Orange over beige, an agave rising, a crow overhead.
The top field is orange, the bottom beige. A blue agave grows up out of the beige ground into the orange sky, and a black crow flies above it all. Simple, desert-colored, and easy to spot from a lawn chair.
National Symbols
National Anthem
Sung slow, best hummed from a lawn chair at sunset.
Out where the orange sky meets the sand,
There's a quiet little corner of this land.
No clocks to watch, no shoes to wear,
Just pajamas and desert air.
Oh, Pajamastan, rest your head,
Under a crow, over an agave bed.
Slow is the pace and soft is the ground,
Pajamastan, the calmest place around.
The Cabins
Where the pace of the outside world stops mattering.
Two matching cabins stand side by side, weathered steel roofs catching the morning light. Simple, sturdy, and unbothered by the heat.
A camp chair, a cold drink, and a water tank slowly being plumbed into shape. Pajamastan isn't finished, and it isn't trying to be.
Growing the Grounds
Nothing here is instant.
Between the cabins, young trees and agaves are going into the ground one hole at a time. The land gets shaped slowly, planting by planting, the same way the whole camp does.
Come evening, the color show over the mountains is free admission. It's part of why the pace here stays slow.

Laws of the Land
The full code of Pajamastan.
- Pajamas are appropriate at all hours, for all occasions.
- Nothing is required to happen before noon.
- Silence and desert wind count as conversation.
- Chairs may be claimed and are yours until you leave them.
- Progress on the camp happens at its own speed, not the calendar's.
- Sunset is watched standing still, not from inside.
- Ribeye is always an acceptable answer to "what's for dinner."
